Our vanilla, sourced from the Polynesian producer V comme Vanille, a specialist in Tahiti vanilla, embodies the art of cultivating and refining an exceptional product. Grown on the island of Raiatea, in the Society Islands of French Polynesia, this vanilla comes from the Haapape variety (Vanilla × tahitensis), commonly known as Tahitian vanilla. The island’s warm, humid tropical climate provides ideal conditions for its cultivation.
The entire supply chain is designed from plant to finished product, with particular attention paid to environmental and social impact. The vanilla orchids are grown without pesticides or chemical inputs, respecting the soil, natural cycles, and the plant’s own rhythm.
Vanilla comes from a short-blooming orchid, and each flower is pollinated by hand. After flowering, the blossoms develop into green pods, which are then carefully cured into brown pods, rich with thousands of tiny black seeds—often referred to as “black gold.”
The cultivation and preparation techniques, specific to Raiatea, are intended to preserve the fruit’s natural quality and reveal the full depth of its aromatic richness.
