For us it’s an adventure, a love story, a choice of a lifetime.
For you, it's chocolate.
OUR DUO
We’ve always liked wandering in the city, unearthing new places, and discovering new flavors. This quest of good and true requested our whole free time. Because before, we had normal jobs, employees, with paid leaves and TOIL days.
Then, One day, it clicked, we want to do this and to do this together. It will be chocolate. We investigate. Discover the limits of the industry, all the shortcuts the industrials take to make more (volume) for less (taste) and we decide to do the opposite.
We are off to Chuao in Venezuela, then on to Peru to meet the cocoa bean planters who take care of it and perfect their method.
Accompanied by Chloé Doutre Roussel, a true ambassador of the craft chocolate, we take the time to choose the right cocoa beans and test all the processing stages. The location of our dreams became available rue du Nil in the midst of sourcers, makers like ourselves, and it was to be our first manufacture, boutique and coffee shop.
From now on, the irresistible scent of PLAQ roasted cocoa wafts through the heart of Paris.

TASTE
The one of the bare chocolate. Without artifice. And that happens to be right each time. When we mention obsession, it’s because at PLAQ it’s the search for this pure taste that leads everything.

PASSION
The S.N. signature on the PLAQ packaging? The initials of our names, Sandra and Nicolas. Together we've developed our love for chocolate. Pure, craft. Handmade to go straight to the heart and to the mouth. Chocolate for us, and for all the tasters. We could talk about beans to bar. But us, we prefer to say “from bean to PLAQ. A bit out of conviction, a lot by obsession.

SOUNDS
CLACK CROCK PLAQ! This is PLAQ’s anthem. Rhythmic, almost mechanical (but no less poetic). Reminiscent of the rattling of our manufacture boutique. A sound that clatters, a music that purr and flavors that ring in the mouth.

Harvest. Select. Mix. Eat. Everything, everytime. Here is the ABC of our chocolate. Our ingredients are pure and raw. Our gestures are precise. The balance is just right.
